Hey everyone, exciting news!
Our first batch of tiles and terrain arrived at our warehouse today!! We’re extremely excited and have already started digging into what we got. It’s looking like a good mix so far. We’ve mentioned the process moving forward on Discord over the last week, but here are the next steps at this point:
1. First week: Processing - Because of the amount of tiles and terrain we received (and the varying kind of each), we’ll need about a week to process everything to figure out what all was sent, get it organized, and ready to be boxed and shipped. As a reminder, this first batch was about 25% of the total amount we ordered.
2. Shipping confirmation - Early next week, we will send out an Easyship survey to confirm orders/shipping. Some of you have mentioned through comments, discord, or other means that your address has changed. If your address has changed and you have not informed us, please, please message us directly on Kickstarter (not through the comments) what your new address is. We will be doing a pass through the direct messages for these requests over the weekend to update addresses before we send Easyship Surveys. We will be replying back through Kickstarter to confirm that we have made the update.
3. Building kits - Once everything’s accounted for and we’ve confirmed where everything is going, we will be starting the process of assembling and painting kits!

Clarification on November Update

Hey everyone!
It appears there’s some confusion on our most recent Kickstarter update so we figured it’d be a good idea to address that. We’ve been actively reading your comments and greatly appreciate the feedback!
Here’s the update:
Back in November, there was some miscommunication between our supplier in China and us. We were under the assumption that our product was further in the process than it actually was. It wasn’t until recently that we received a more accurate picture of where things are at. Because of the volume of product, we needed to ship everything over in multiple batches. The good news is that the first batch is actually in transit and, as of yesterday, was in Alaska. We’re very cautious in our optimism here, but that means we should have product on hand in the next week or two.
The bad news is that, based on the information we were given, we were under the assumption that all of the product was in transit when, unfortunately, only the first batch was. If everything had gone smoothly based on our estimates, product would’ve been in our hands much sooner. With the constant shutdowns in China because of Covid, however, both production and communication was halted. Currently, all of our product has been manufactured, the first batch is in transit, and the rest is still in China waiting to be shipped out. It’s really frustrating news but there’s nothing that can be done for the moment, as the Chinese New Year is under way. We’ve been told that the remaining three batches are ready to ship as soon as that’s over.
We want to apologize to those of you who have felt misled on timelines. We acknowledge that we could have done a better job at communicating, even if it was a simple update that there was no update. On our end, it was difficult to piece together what was happening so that we could give you an accurate picture of what was going on. This Kickstarter has been a big learning experience and we’ve grown quite a bit. Along with the Discord, we wanted to introduce a new member of our team, Alex King, CXO at Epoch. Moving forward, one of his roles will be interacting with the community (providing regular updates, talking with people in Discord, etc.). He’s very excited to meet and talk with you all!

Alex has been playing video games since he can remember. Although he’s only been playing TTRPGs, specifically, for a few years now, to say he’s committed would be an understatement. He plays as often as he can and particularly enjoys his Barbalidan (Smites for days!). He and his wife, Kennady, will soon be welcoming their first-born daughter, who will need to receive the stamp of approval from their fur-born son (Border Collie named Sullivan).

Hey Friends!
Happy New Year! We wanted to share an update of our progress so far for January - but first, we wanted to thank you all for the patience, love, and support. Looking back at last year, we’re overwhelmed by how far we’ve come (with product currently in transit), but also by the roadblocks we’ve overcome. As some of the backers have mentioned, the shipping situation in China is frustrating, with some Kickstarter products taking 3 years to arrive. We doubt it’ll take that long for us, but it’s definitely something we didn’t foresee. Having said all that, here are a few items we wanted to share:
- Shipping news: No new updates on shipping at this time, just know that we are working with our manufacturing partner in China. Because of the lockdowns and ‘0 Covid Policy’ that they have, communication and shipping has not been as fast as we would have liked or estimated. With that in mind, we’re cautiously optimistically sharing that we recently received word that we could have product on hand in the near future. Sorry for the mouthful, but we don’t want to get our or your hopes up based on the experience so far. Rest assured that we are not “dragon” our feet and are working to fulfill our Kickstarter orders as soon as possible. On our end, there’s nothing more frustrating than dealing with problems that are outside of our control, but we will let you know as soon as we receive pieces and can begin to fulfill orders!
- Update to communication: Having said that, we recently created an Epoch Discord server! We’ve personally used Discord for years and are excited to set up a place for you all to get information more regularly, where all of our backers can more permanently interact with each other. It’ll be fun seeing your miniatures in action and hearing about your campaigns! Moving forward, we’ll be much more active there, but will continue to post updates here ~once a month. - Brand news: We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on our brand. Moving forward, our brand will be known as Epochscapes, not Epoch Tiles. We made this change because we felt that Epochscapes was more comprehensive to include landscapes and scatter pieces, not just dungeon tiles; this is more in line with how we plan to grow our brand in the future! We also got really tired of Google confusing us with bathroom tiles ;).

Kits in Transit

Hi Everyone!
A simple update for this month - At this point all the kits and pieces are still in transit to us. Once we hear from US Customs that it has arrived, we'll let you know.
We've been working hard behind the scenes and we can't wait to get your kits out!
